Daanish Books was established in 2005 by some activists and socially committed academicians as an intervention for socially committed publishing in various languages, with an emphasis on social science publishing in Hindi.

Starting from April 2005 so far, we have published 36 books in English, 17 in Hindi and 7 issues of the Journal of Health and Development (JHD). In the coming year we have a plan to publish additional 24 books in English and 10 books in Hindi and 4 issues of JHD.

Achieving this would not have been possible without encouragement and support from like-minded friends and Institutions.

Daanish Book Club

  • No entrance fee or security deposit.
  • Just commit Rs. 1,000/USD 50 as advance for six forthcoming titles and be a member of this club.
  • Beyond six books you can avail a discount of 30% on all other books published by Daanish Books.
  • 25% discount on all Indian books (except textbooks) ordered through our marketing wing.
